Have you ever been around someone who was prideful? Someone who thought that the world revolved around them? No one wants to talk to someone like that!
Some people are like that without even realizing it. It is obvious that the life God blesses is a far cry from the world's definition of success. The world wants to lift up those who are wealthy and famous, but God lifts up the humble.

Early in the spring, my wife and I watched a fascinating bird show outside our kitchen window. A couple of blackbirds with straw in their beaks entered a small vent in the house next door. A couple of weeks later, to our delight, we saw four baby birds stick their heads out of the vent. Mom and Dad took turns feeding their hungry babies.
